A website call Ask.com was formerly known as AskJeeves.com. It was launched in 1996 in California by Garrett Gruener and David Warthen. It is basically a search engine like yahoo search or Google search. Ask.com was earlier known as Askjeeves.com where Jeeves was an animated character or a host for all the visitors of the search engine. He was known to be the gentleman's gentleman. He facilitated easy search and would find answers to any question that was asked on the website. In September 2005, the company announced that Jeeves was retiring and the name of the website was changed to Ask.com.
