How To Calculate Per Diem Rent?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    Per Diem means per day.

Divide the monthly rent by the number of days in a month (30 for arguments sake), and then multiply by the number of days you need to charge them for.

So if the rental period is to the end of the calendar month, the rent is say £300, and the tenant is moving out on the 17th:

You need to charge them, 300 divide by 30days in a month = £10 per day.
    17 days multiply by £10 per day = £170.

So you need to charge £170 for the partial month up to the 17th.

    Hope this helps.
