What Happens When Your Leopard Gecko Is Shedding?

This is my first time owning a leopard gecko so I'm really confused and worried.

    They will begin to look pale and you will see the skin become loose. You should provide a moist hide like a plastic container with a hole in the side and a damp paper towel. They need things to rub up against to help remove the skin like rocks, not sharp ones though. Don't bring rocks in from outside and put them directly in the tank, first wash the rocks in bacterial soap and rinse them well and them put the rock in the oven at decent heat to kill any germs. Then let the rock cool and then put it in with the lizard. Let them do it on their own, and then check their toes for any skin that may have been missed. If there is still skin on the toes take a moist q tip and gently rub off the skin. If the skin doesn't get removed from the toes it can cut off the circulation and the lizard can loose toes. Never use sand in the cage as substrate, use paper towels or newspaper. www.geckosetc.com
