This is bad, she needs that fluid and nutrition to make milk. I would feel irresponsible if I told you to do anything other than consult a vet, soon. In the meantime try to give her small amounts of fluid, frequently. She is more likely to keep this down than solids at the moment.

      Hi tygerinoc,

I'm sorry to hear that your dog is having problems. I think you should call the vet immediately since there could be a real problem.

We almost lost our dog when the pups were 3 weeks old.

When I let her out for a potty break she began swaying like a drunk and nearly passed out on the back patio. I hosed her down while ringing the vet then threw her into the car and brought her to the vet's office, 5 minutes away.

When we got to the vet's office she had a temperature of 106! She had a uterine infection and needed a hysterectomy immediately. During and after surgery she had on IV antibiotics and then an additional 10 days of pills at home.

It was very scary, but after a couple of weeks of recuperation she was much better.

Please let me know how you and your girl make out on this one.

Prayers and best wishes for a good outcome.
