    The term 'negative feedback' means a feedback that affects the results negatively. The word feedback refers to back-talk or acknowledgement or counterclaim or interpretation. Such remark or report that does not show good results is termed negative feedback. For example: she received a negative feedback on the new project. Here, negative feedback is evaluative information obtained from a process.

    Negative feedback decreases the output of a system. It reduces or dampens working of a system to which it is added. The opposite of negative feedback is negative feedback. A negative feedback is generally a process that is applied to increase and maintain the stability of a system. In such a process, the product obtained is used to inhibit the process of production.
