How Do I Put A Belt Buckle On A Belt?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are several different sorts of buckles available. In most frame type of buckles one end of the frame runs through a kind of loop in the belt. The belt is looped over at one end and passed through one end of the buckle. A pair of rivets is then used to fasten the loop to the belt. Before riveting, it is necessary to puncture a hole or slit through which the metal clip of the buckle can past through. The hole or slit has to be substantial enough to let the clip pass through easily. There is also another kind of buckle where the buckle can clasp onto the end of the belt and does not require any riveting or puncturing. Several belt and leather shops will fit a buckle or replace one for a nominal charge.
