If My Cat Is A House Cat, Does She Need The Leukemia Vaccine Every Year?
I was told by one vet the shot was not needed every year if it was an indoor cat, but another vet says the opposite

If there's NO chance of them getting out, I wouldn't bother with the shot. I had 2 cats, one who was nearly 17 when he was euthanized in February, and another who was nearing 18 years old, when she was euthanized on Tuesday. Neither cat was vaccinated for feline leukemia, after the initial kitten series of shots. They were both tested again, when they had their geriatric checkups, and both tested negative. My only fear was a friend, whose cat is never vaccinated, and goes outdoors. I was told that the virus doesn't live very long on clothing, etc.

I would be safe then sorry, in case she ever gets out. Just to be on the safe side. Good-Luck.
