    Pensacola is a city located in Escambia County, Florida and is also the county seat of Escambia County.

    Pensacola is also known the "The City of Five Flags", Pensacola  is a sea port positioned towards the Pensacola Bay, which links the Gulf of Mexico. Owing to early exploration, the initial colonization of Pensacola was huge; it was led by Don Tristan de Luna y Arellano with more than 1,400 people on board 11 ships travelling from Vera Cruz, Mexico.     

    According to the census conducted in the year 2000, it was stated that the total area of this region was 39.7 square miles, out of which 22.7 square miles was covered by land and 16.9 square miles was covered by water. The census report of 2000 also stated that the total population of this region was 56,255, having an average population density of 956.8 per square kilometre.
