How Is Equatorial Climate Like?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In equatorial regions, the temperature is quite hot throughout the year and usually it doesn't vary more than 3 degree Celsius. The equatorial climate is also considered very wet with the annual precipitation in the region often accumulating to more than 2000mm.

The hot and wet climate of the region is ideal for the growth of plants and it makes the vegetation in the region quiet dense and of variety. If the climate of Britain makes it possible to have of five different species of plants in certain acreage of area, the same area of land in equatorial region usually have 500 different species of plants. The region is well known for its rainforest which looks like a green carpet.
