My 13 Year Old Lab Throws Up After Eating Dry Food. It Doesn't Get Digested-just Comes Back Up With A Clear Slime. She's Had The Same Food For A While - Should I Change The Dry Food Brand?

She still plays and has an appetite. I've just noticed that in the last week she tends to throw up the food.

She may just have a bit of gastroenteritis... Or she may be eating to fast, or too soon after she's exercised. If it's not either of the latter two... Try taking her off food for 24 hours to give her tummy time to settle down.. Then pre-moisten the food with a little warm water or broth for a couple of days.  As long as it's just an upset stomach.. That should take care of it.

My dog did the same thing. I changed to a hollistic brand "Verus...they have a sensitive stomach one also..Make sure it is totally moist also. Give her rice mixed with boiled chicken
(no fat) for a day or two before you go back to the dry food. Also if you do change the the brand, due it gradually...mix the old with the new a little at a time. Have you checked her teeth? Cygnus1

Is what she brings up 'sausage' shaped and completely undigested? Is it brought up fairly slowly rather than projectile? If so, it could be regurgitation (passive, from the oesophagus) rather than vomiting (active, from the stomach) and she would need to see a vet if it continues. If not, then perhaps try her on a wet diet, but change it gradually. Do see a vet if it persists though, and definitely if you notice any other symptoms.
