What Are The Five Pillars?

They are
Salat (5 times prayers a day)
Fasting (one month from sunrise to sunset every year)
Zakat (giving alms to needy and poor)
Hajj ( visiting the Holy Ka'bba)
Jihad (to protect the religion). As wrongly interpreted by ignorants, Jihad doesn't mean fighting against non-muslims. It rather means protecting and spreading your religion by speech and your behaviour. If some one threats the religion then only as a measure of protection the fighting is allowed.
Islam considers education as jihad as well, since it is to spread knowledge and fight against ignorance.

There r 5 pillars of islam the first is shahadah which is a promise that allah is one there is no god and prophet muhammad is his last prophet,the second is Salat (prayer) which is compulsory 5 times a day at different times the 5 prayers a day r called morning prayer (Fajr),afternoon prayer (Zuhr),the time after afternoon prayer (asar),evening prayer (Maghrib) and night prayer (ishya) these prayers are compulsory after the age of 12,the third pillar is zakat (which is a money given to poor people in the fasting month of ramadhan),the 4th is fasting (muslims hav to fast 30 days in the month of ramadhan nad it is compulsory after the age of 12) and the last pillar is Hajj which is a pilgrimige performed by the muslims in the month of zilhijj...
