Have Winters Where You Grew Up Changed Noticeably Since You Were A Kid?

Compared to when you were a child, are winters in the same region in which you grew up colder or warmer, more snow or rain or less? --Or do you notice no difference at all?

Yes I have noticed changes of warmer and less snow but this year I got the greatest weather shock of all. In addition to a winter thunderstorm that I have never experienced in my lifetime, we have Robins that did not migrate! Robins eat worms and as far as I knew are not seed eaters, but this year I have seen dozens of them still living here in central Illinois. Anyone else with a similar experience?

It seems that our winters have been milder with less snow over the past few years.  That is until this winter.  We haven't had much snow, but I can't remember when it was as cold as it now.  Right now it's 6 degrees.  There's one good thing about being retired.  I don't have to go out if I don't want  to.  I'm afraid parts of me will freeze and break off:)

It makes sense that the affect on the world as to environment is fairly obvious. It doesn't seem to be a matter of warming or cooling but rather a lack of insulation that affects both, doesn't it? Summers are more severe, and seems so are winters. Continued....

(Silly blurtit policies. Sorry I had to conitnue in second part...)Seasons have changed to extremes not experienced in ages before. Seems we are lacking now what insulated us from such extremes before..... In my home town I can attest to extreme differences in seasons also since I was a child and since my father was a child--at least 2 generations now of significant difference....
