    What All Kinds Of Snakes Are About 2 Feet Long, Black And Loves To Be In Bathrooms Around Water In East Tennessee ,are They Harmful? It Is Not A Rat Snake.

    In tenneessee,i bought a old house and i have found a few odd looking black snakes in the bathroom . They are not a rat snake can they be poison ??

    nashville.about.comIt is always tough to identify a snake without being able to see it.  Luckily I do not think there are any black snakes in your area that are venomous.  It could have been a Black Racer or a Garter Snake.  Try googling them and see if either are what you saw.  I found a link that talks about the 4 venomous snakes in your area, the Copperhead, Timber Rattlesnake, Western Cottonmouth, and Western Pygmy Rattlesnake.  You can double check that these are not what you saw:
