Can Anyone Give Me A Foolproof Way To Stop Cherries & Sultanas Sinking In A Cake?

I have tried coating them in flour.......I have also tried 'swelling' the sultanas first. Any other suggestions?

Try putting them in the cake after it has baked about half way and the top and middle are still jellied. Just drop them into the jell and let the cake bake.

Don't make the mixture too wet.

I add any fruit at the very end of mixing.  I also start my baking in a fairly hot oven for 10 minutes or so, then turn the temperature down for the rest of the time.

Lightly coat, the raisins should not be wet / drop in it in the mix just before you put the tray in the oven
