Where Is Almere In The Netherlands?

    Almere is a new town located in Central Netherlands. It fall under the province of Flevoland and is also considered as being one of the municipalities. It is named after an old lake located in Zuiderzee. The word Almere in the traditional dialect of those times meant 'lake'. Almere has its own principal parts, the first being Almere Haven; the oldest part which boasts of a great local bus transport system as well as a harbour.

    The entire Almere Stad is the biggest part of the town and houses the main rail line as well as the other important buildings of the town. The rest are the Almere Hout, Almer Buiten and Almere Poort. At the centre of the town is a lake known as the weerwater. The Almer Stad is located around this lake.
