Did Albert Einstein Have An Education?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Albert Einstein was born in a Jewish family in German Empire but he went to a catholic school. Initially he faced some problems related to speech but he was able to overcome them and did quite well in his elementary school. As he grew he did not appreciate the way the schooling was done and thought that it extinguished all the creative abilities of students. He moved to Munich and then to Switzerland where he enrolled at Swiss National Polytechnic in Zurich in 1896 to become an electrical engineer as his father wanted him to be. In the year 1900, he graduated but he sent more time learning physics on his own rather than attending lectures. Even though he did go to the university but most of his knowledge on physics, he acquired outside class.
