    Costa Rica is a democratic republic. It has always emphasized on growth and human rights. Of lately, the political system has progressively urbanized and maintained self-governing institutions. It has however, contrasted with its Caribbean and Central American Neighbors. Numerous factors like liberal government leaders, relative prosperity and educational opportunities have contributed to this inclination. However, the stipulation of public services in the responsibility of the state remains perceptive.
    Currently, the electric power sectors and telecommunications are controlled by nationalized monopolies. Some of the political parties of Costa Rica are Partido Acción Ciudadana (PAC, center left), Partido Unidad Social Cristiana (PUSC, center right), Partido Movimiento Libertario (ML, Libertarian) and Partido Liberación Nacional (PLN, center right). Some of the trifling parties include Fuerza Democrática (FD, left) and Partido Renovación Costarricense (PRC, Christian).
