    What Type Of Snake Is Brown With Yellow Stripes Down The Length Of Its Body?

    He is called a "Garter Snake"........and is extremely harmless. Fully grown he becomes black and his yellow stripes become white. He is often nick-named a "water" or "garden" snake. He wont hurt you I am sure.

    Although garter snakes may or may not bite if handled, most secrete a foul-smelling fluid from anal glands when alarmed. Occasionally, garter snakes make their way into basements, a situation that appears to be most common in spring or autumn. I have handled many and was never bitten even when I was a little kid.

      It's called a garter snake. It's usually found in gardens. They are sometimes called garden snakes or gardner snakes. They are harmless.
