Clean it well, and super glue the wound closed. If it continues to come open after that wrap it in gauze and change the bandage daily to prevent infection.

What I would do is to cover the pad nicely with gauze then tape the gauze to the pad. Once this is done slip a small sock on top of the gauze and wrap tape around the SOCK not the LEG...don't risk pulling out hairs!
