On your Windows Live Toolbar, there should be a button with a green cross on it. This is the search gallery where you search for buttons. Next to the green cross is a black arrow. Click the arrow, and then click on 'Make a button'.
This should take you to the Windows Live Gallery. In the Windows Live Gallery, there will be various boxes that you will need to fill out in order to create the button.
You will need to provide a text label, a name for your button, a word which you use to identify the button etc. You will also need to create information on how to use your new button, add short cuts and provide an icon for the button.
Creating a button for the toolbar is useful if you would like to easily access any website which you frequently visit, or if you wish to create your own news buttons or buttons which can search your favourite websites.
Once you have finished entering all the information for the buttons, click 'Create'.
