    The British television programme, The Wombles had 6 series.
    The first series which aired in 1973 comprised of the following; Orinoco & The Big Black Umbrella, The Rocking Chair, One Pair Of Feet, Madame Cholet Returns, Crossed Lines, Musical Wombles, North, South, East, West, The Snow Wombles, The Circus Comes To Wimbledon, to name a few.

    The second series war telecasted in 1975. This series consisted of 30 episodes, namely, Bungo Up A Tree, Madame Cholet & the Blackberries, Portrait Of Great Uncle Bulgaria, MacWomble The Terrible, Burrow Hot Line, Pirate Gold, The Wombles Times, Womble Summer Party, Womble Fool's Day, to mention a few.

    The third series was aired in 1998 and the fourth series in 1999. These two series comprised of 26 episodes in all. The last and the sixth series was aired in 1999 with 13 episodes. Some of the last episodes were, Nanny Alexandria Comes To Stay, Womble Inventor Of The Year, The Thames Burrow Adventure, Unlucky Me, Time Travelling Tomsk, Fancy! Fancy Dress and the last episode that ended the series was 'A Visit To The Highland Burrow.'
