Is There An Airport In Penzance?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Penzance has an airport, which is only used for helicopters. The Penzance Heliport serves as a base for British International Helicopters' flights headed to the Isles of Scilly and also for scenic flights. The Heliport is conveniently located to the east of Penzance. The heliport, which is situated alongside the main A30 road, is less than a mile away from the railway and bus stations. There are adequate car park facilities with night security.
The airports closest to Penzance are in Newquay, for flights to Gatwick, Stansted, and
Plymouth. Penzance itself hosts a passenger helicopter service which is run by British International Helicopters.

Lastly, there is also a bus service provided by the Skybus Airline service. This connects with the Lands End Aerodrome for fixed wing flights destined for The Isles of Scilly. This service does not operate from the bus station, but from the railway station, near the taxi ranks.
