5 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are various difference between living things and non-living things. Firstly, living things can breath while non-living things cannot. Secondly, living things can reproduce but non-living things cannot reproduce. Thirdly, living things are made up of living protoplasm while non-living things are made up of artificial material. Living things need food to stay alive while non-living things do not take in food. In addition, living things can move or they show locomotion, growth but non-living things do not show such feature. On the basis of these characteristics we can separate living things from non-living.
