What Provoked The Americans To Join World War One?

Wilson the president of USA wanted to join the war but he knew that the public of USA disliked if USA took part in the war. When he again won the General elections in 1916 then congress passed the bill to declare the war.
At that time USA was the emerging as super power and japan attacked Pearl harbour which was also the cause of war.
