After Treatments For Stage IV Cancer Of The Lung & Pelvic Bone. Why Would I Now Have Neck Pain?

I was treated with chemotherapy then radiation. Neither stopped pain I felt in my pelvic bones or spine so I discontinued the treatments. Now my neck is stiffening up and hurts when moved side to side and back. Could this be the cause of cancer cells spreading?

The neck pain may be absolutely nothing to do with the cancer. It is probably due to tension due to the situation you find yourself in. It could be a disc problem or a neuromuscular type problem. Possibly even a side effect of the chemotherapy. Obviously you are thinking of secondaries and nothing can be ruled out without proper investigations. So try not and add more worry . Go back to your consultant and see what he thinks.  worry and stress will do nothing positive in your situation.  god bless:)

Thank you for taking the time to address my problem. Your positive approach to the neck pain I have been experiencing was reassuring. I do have degenerating & herniated discs, as well as osteoporosis, scoliosis & stenosis (just for starters). For years I learned to live and deal with pain. It is probably why I didn't associate my pelvic pain with bone cancer that was found. Also I have epilepsy which has caused head and neck pains in the past. Because of all my physical problems, I've learned to just ignore symptons and resist going to doctors. I have 12 physicians, and as soon as I go to them it usually leads to serious illness as it did when the doctor discovered cancer. The list of my medical problems is one-page-long. Many people ask: "What systems on your "ship"/(body) do work", At this point, I don't know and that is why I try not to dwell on them.

The problem with my neck did worry me because of my lack of knowledge on cancer. Since I avoid dwelling illnesses, I thought it would be better to inquire if someone may has had or heard of similar symptons relating to bone cancer.

I do believe that our minds control our body, so thank you for reminding me to relax which in turn usually reduces stress and pains stress can cause.

As for the Oncologists (2), I have discontinued treatments and future visits unless I could not take the pains any longer. Chemo nor radiation and pain killers have been effective to diminishes body pain. The doctors left the final decision to restart treatment in my hands. They would do whatever I requested to comfort me for the final days in my life. My cancer is incurable and they cannot guarantee me how long that will be. Everyone's body is different and everyone's view of disease and how to fight it are also. Personally . . . I never let myself get sick or feel sick. I take one day at a time and live it to the fullest for me, my husband & my children. young talented and aspiring people I could fight almost anything until I had to go to the doctors. Once they were involved automatically they'd diagnose me with an illness. I can fight any illness when others are not aware of what I have or doctors get involved. (I often wish I would have worked in the medical profession so I could treat myself with "the human factor", not constant testing or drugs that remind you of an illness.)

Thank you for your positive words and approach to these symptoms. God bless you for your kindness, and I wish you peace & happiness, & Good Health Always.:)
