What you bring when you go camping all depends on where you go.  You should bring extra socks and a sweat suit to sleep in, along with normal clothes.  Bring extra layers too.
Sneakers are a must have a flip-flops are good for stuff like walking between tents.  Also make sure you bring a bag for hikes and stuff.  If you'll be near a lake bring some bathing suits.  Bring a water bottle also.  It can get really dark at night, so make sure you have a flash light and map.  Since you'll be in the middle of no where, bring a first aid kit.
Of course, bring the obviously like snacks and a sleeping bag to.
I go camping all the time and this list works perfectly.
