What Does 1 Ft Of 15 Gauge Copper Wire Weigh?

I am trying to find out the value of scrap wire. I have 15 gauge wire and copper is bought and sold by the pound.

    The chart I have says 9.858 pounds per 1000 feet so
    0.009858 lbs/ft or only about one ounce.  Thats bare wire.
