Is Public Display Of Affection In School Ok?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

It depends on the degree of affection and also how open your society is with regards to this issue. For example, most Asian countries are more conservative then their western counterparts and hence acts of intimacy in public areas like a school may not be accepted very well. In my opinion, affection in schools, regardless of one's usual culture and societal practices should not be encouraged as after all, a school is a place where students go to study. Wouldn't it be disturbing to be walking down hallways and see couples hugging and kissing one another? What message will it send to students and society in general? By this I mean that the society could be perceived to be "loose" as even students in schools are allowed to display acts of intimacy.
