Can Anyone Please Tell Me Something About The History Of The Ferrets?

They actually belong to the Pole Cats and there are some researches proving them as the descendants of the Pole cats. Few of their breeding species are also known. It was started to keep as the pets round about twenty five hundred years ago. There are few concepts that they were the Egyptians who first time started to keep them as pets but there are no evidences of this concept. Nowadays these species are not only rare but the remains of many of these species are also not available to have the exact idea about these animals.

And this is the reason that any of the concepts are not considered true hundred percent. There are certain evidences that show that the Greeks were also familiar of this kind of animals. But there history shows that they did not have any distinction between the ferrets and the pole cats because in their old literature they have used these two terms alternatively.

They prefer to live in colonies created by their groups because they do not like to live in solitary environments. They always like to live in form of groups as they enjoy company instead of living alone.
