No. Only a treatment with pediculicide will kill Head Lice. A second treatment may be needed as they are at times difficult to get rid of. Additionally, all hats, scarves, pillows, etc. Need to be treated or the problem could reoccur.

I found something that worked for me from a site slickfinder.com You mix rubbing alcohol and an inexpensive brand of hair conditioner together. 50/50 mix. Put it on the hair and the alcohol kills the live bugs almost instantly, while the conditioner makes the mixture smell better and makes it stay put in the hair. Otherwise, the alcohol just runs down the kids head. I tried it. It worked for me. I will never again buy lice hair treatments again and put those chemicals on my children. Good luck
There are other things to use then putting poison on someones head. Many different herbal remedies out there too. Alcohol and conditioner was an easy and less harsh solution.
