Solute changes the boiling point of the solvent. In fact when solute is added in a solvent then after adding the solute the boiling point of the solution increases. For example, if salt is added in water then the boiling point of water will increase from 100 degree Celsius. The reason is that boiling point is the temperature where the vapor pressure of the solvent becomes equal to the external atmospheric pressure. When solute is added in the solvent then solvent molecules take more time and temperature to develop vapor pressure and hence the boiling point of the solvent increases.
