    Heart disease is defined as any condition that interrupts the normal functioning of the heart. It affects the blood flow and other small parts of the heart. Based on the functional parts that or functions that are affect heart diseases are classified as coronary heart disease, congenital heart disease, valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, congestive heart disease, acynotic heart disease, hypertensive heart disease, pulmonary heart disease, and hereditary heart disease.

    Coronary heart disease is the condition in which fatty deposits develop along the linings of arteries, thus narrowing the blood vessels and causing pain called angina. This condition is also called arteriosclerosis. Congenital heart disease is defective condition of heart since birth. Valvular disease is the abnormal functioning of heart valves. Ischemic disease is caused mostly by coronary disease and results in insufficient supply of oxygen to the heart. Hypertensive disease results due to high blood pressure and hereditary is caused by genetic factors. Pulmonary disease affects the pulmonary vein on the right side of the heart.
