Answer Question

Mount Everest is considered as the highest mountain on Earth. It is 8848 meters above the sea level. It is part of the Himalaya mountain range in Asia. It is located at the border of Nepal and China.

Since it is the highest mountain on earth, it attracts a number of climbers from around the world. Most of the early attempts were unsuccessful. However, a British expedition by a New Zealander Hillary and a Nepalese Tenzing Norgay in 1953 was successful for the first time. They completed their expedition at 11.30 am on 29 May 1953.
