What Is Life All About?

Life is all about desire , then what is life?

Answer Question

10 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

What makes you think that life is all about desire?  If  that were the case, there would be no point in living.  It can be so much more.  Whatever is important to you is what makes life worth living.  If I didn't think it was worth it, I would have given up long ago.   I only know why I want to keep living.  I can't tell you what your life is about.  That's up to you, but it should be more than desire.

Actually, I heard a song once that cleared up the whole issue for me. "You do the hokey-pokey and you turn yourself around, THAT's what it's all about.."

I have no clue at this point, but I'm reading (or trying to) a book on the Meaning of Life and maybe I'll get a little insight and report back.

Meanwhile, life is an enormous banquet. I'm filling my plate with all the joyful morsels and enjoying the party.

What is life about? Probably, love. Love for those around us, in our family, and all our friends and enemies. Love for the world and it's creatures. Love for the good things that humans do in the world. Love for the future generations on the earth. If you truly love every one of them, then your life should be amazing. But, that's just my view of things.
Life is also for you...not just for the love of others. Maybe to find out what your meaning of life will be, you must find a sport or a hobby, or possibly a religion if you feel it's necessary. Find good friends. Surround yourself with people who you think will positively influence your life. If you don't already have one, find an enjoyable job, one that interests you. Sometimes taking a vacation can help. You probably need a special place to think about things. Talk it out with people. Have lots of conversations about day to day life. Find something beautiful to think on, like a sunset, a picture, a person close to you, etc. You should think about what you'd like to accomplish, and what life means to you. It will take a while. But, I promise you, you will find a purpose eventually. Good luck!

And also, remember, no one has a perfect life. It's normal to have some bumps in the road. All you have to do is move right past them. I certainly do not have "the perfect life". Just try your best to find your definition of life, and cling to it when your falling.

Life is about today, what have I done today to show the people in my life that I care about them.
It is about taking the good with the bad and being there when a friend or family needs help, life is about doing the next right thing, that is what I believe.

I used to think life was about popularity. When I became 'popular', I saw how that popularity was based on insecurity and often meant picking apart others.

I used to think life was about money. Then I looked at my mined friends and saw how messed up and unhappy they were... A different messed up than my poorer friends, but still messed up.

I thought drugs, alcohol, or sex might be it. Happiness right? But you're always chasing that 'great high' that you remember, but which was just a fantasy in the first place.

I figured I needed education, so I studied at a good university. Looking at history, political science, and philosophy, I found that they didn't have the answer either... Only more questions.

In the end, the answer found me. I'd rejected Christ growing up as an answer for weak fools. Yet God is a God of grace, and he was patient with me. In the end, I found that the Creator was real, and that he is the only one deserving of our following him, because He is the only one who is truly good.

Life is about being a good son, imitating my true Father. Life is about serving Him, because in that service we achieve real freedom... The freedom of being what we were created to be.

Is this the answer for everyone? Only if God is the God of all people, who knows our needs because he created us. Only if all people cry out in our souls for justice, because we do not see it in this world. Only if all people seek after real love, because we don't get it or give it perfectly.

Hi, I think life is a journey, a maze, a time capsule.  Every person's life will have different desires and roads to travel.  Each person will have a different story to tell and a different job to perform.  To explain what life is all about would take a lifetime.  You see there are so many answers to your question.  Although, I do not have a real answer for you, I will tell you this, I am having a hell of a ride.  Take care!

Life is all about avoiding a primrose path, persuing what is right, indeed looking for the meaning of"Wrong and Right",because every other person on this earth has got a different scale of "Rights and Wrongs". So its all about doing what seems right to you, going through unexpected things that you call destiny, and earning a good living for the life here-after.

Life is not all about desire. In our lifes we desire to do many things, sometimes it may not be possible sometimes it is possible. It doesn't mean that we should always be desiring to do things. We need to get on what we get in life sometimes
