1Mole of  Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution has 23+16+1=40 grams NaOH/ litre, therefore 0.1M NaOH solution will require 4 grams NaOH / litre.

50% solution means 500 grams per litre, which will therefore has to be diluted 125 times to get 0.1M solution.

In order to make 1 litre of 0.1M solution, add 8 mL of 50% NaOH solution to 992 mL of water.
