Vinegar and combing. Soak your hair in vinegar and you can easily comb the eggs out without nit picking. Vinegar won't kill the bugs, so also soak your hair in olive oil for three hours. Blow dry you hair as much as possible, too!

Not from anything I have read. I have an 8 yr old girl we have been treating for over a month now. I was not good at the nit combing at first, and I am confident that is why it has taken so long to get rid of.
Now, I nit comb her hair every night. I have not seen a live louse in days, and most of the nits are gone. It did take a lot of work on the nits though. The only real thing that worked to get them out were my fingernails. It takes forever, but well worth it!
