Does The Heart Pump To And From The Lungs?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In a fashion, it does.  The heart pumps blood to all of out vital organs, including the lungs, where they are oxygenized.  Bad stuff breath out, good stuff breath in.  The lungs are a sort of filter that helps assist oxygen getting into blood making it cleaner to then be sent out to all parts of the body.  When the body returns the blood back, through varicose veing, blood was pumped into by arteries and retuned by veins, this is when it contains all the toxins removed.  The lungs are an important part in cleaning the blood supply so it can be retuned to the heart to pump back to all organs
