              Intrapreneurship:
Intrapreneurship refers to entrepreneurship within an existing organization or business structure. Intrapreneurship can also bridge the gap between science and the marketplace.  Existing businesses have the financial resources, business skills, and marketing and distribution system to commercialize innovation successfully. Often the bureaucratic structure, emphasis on short-term profits, and structured organization inhibit creativity. Some corporations have tried to establish an intrapreneurial spirit in their organization, some in the form of strategic business units (SBUs.)

Traditional corporate management has not been conducive to intrapreneurship because of the following reasons:
    a. Traditional managers are motivated primarily by promotion and usual corporate rewards while Entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs flourish on self-determination and the capability to create. Intrapreneurs also anticipate their performance to be rightfully pleased.

    b. Managers lay emphasis on the short run, but intrapreneurs lay stress on the long run and there is also time orientation difference between them.

    c. Intrapreneurs use a midpoint mode between allocation of managers and direct involvement of entrepreneurs whereas traditional managers not.

    d. Intrapreneurs learn to conceal risky projects from management until the last possible moment while converse to intrapreneurs traditional managers tend to be most concerned about those at higher levels.

    e. Aspects of an intrapreneurial culture are relatively dissimilar:

The traditional culture is hierarchical in nature, with established procedures, lines of authority, and control mechanisms. These support the present corporate culture, and do not encourage new venture creation.

              Conclusion:
All these arguments clearly defines us the reasons behind the statement that "why traditional cooperate management has not been conducive or favorable to intrapreneurship."
