Who's Going Be At The World Famous Comedy Store And Putting On A Glamorous Show Feb 9th?

Ester Goldberg. You may recognise her as the drag queen created and played by comedian and actor Michael Arlington. Ester Goldberg, the fictional character, is portrayed to be a widowed celebrity of radio, cabaret and clubs as well as former make up artist, gossip column writer and music maven. She is depicted as being a gossip monger, being an outrageous Jewish American princess having a big head of red hair, glasses with rhinestone studs and lots of flashy jewellery.

The character was created in Washington DC where she played host for many shows such as Scream, Lose or Draw, The Big Show and The Feud, the format of which was imitated by Lena Lett, whom Arlington successfully sued.
The character now headlines the Main Room of 'The World Famous Comedy Show' on every Friday.
