    Free Wireless Internet?

If I install a wireless card in my PC is there a way that I can tap into the internet from the wireless signals that are in the air around me without paying for a wireless connection.

Technically u can use someone else's unencrypted network but that would be stealing. The more computers on the network the slower the connection also depending on the proximity to the router your signal strength may suck also depending on how closely settled your are is u may be out of luck, chances are if they weren't smart enough to make an encryption they wont be able to tell ur stealing their internet, if u know ur neighbours, it could either be a good idea or a bad one to ask them if u could use it. Or you could pony up 50 bucks and get your own wireless router

You can connect to the wireless network around you but you need the specific information of the internet service provider. It may require a username and password to connect to the service. For example AT&T company offers wireless internet and you can connect it but you need the account information to connect to it.
