Yes. Cancer is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells on or within the body. Cancer causes almost half of the deaths of pets over ten years. It is more frequent in dogs than it is in cats though. Dogs get cancer at the same rate as humans. Unfortunately, the cause of most cancers are unknown and therefore are very difficult to cure. Early detection and treatment is the best way to help manage a cancer in your pet.

My dog has a growth about the size of a golf ball, under her right jaw. The vet wants $1900.00 to do exploratory surgary, and I don't have it
