What Good Walks Are There In The Yorkshire Dales?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The area of the Yorkshire Dales has some of the best countryside scenery in the world and is thus extremely popular with walkers.

In the Three Peaks area including Ingleton, Clapham and Horton-in-Ribblesdale area for example, there is a range of walks to follow that take in the best of this countryside.  Most of the walks are around 4 – 13 miles and start from Horton, Leck Fell House, Twistleton Scar End, Dale Head and Ribblehead.

The longest walk at around 13 miles starts about a mile and a half north of Ingleton at Twistleton Scar End and heads towards Whernside.

There's a circular walk around Whernside that starts at Ribblehead and another walk takes in the Ingleton waterfalls.
