Answer Question

Some of the famous Caribbean pirates include Blackbeard, Henry Morgan and Captain William Kidd. Blackbeard was a well-known English pirate in the first half of the eighteenth century. His real name was Edward Drummond, but he was also sometimes called Edward Teach. Blackbeard was born in England in 1860. The English Crown knighted Henry Morgan and made him a titled nobleman for his services to piracy and for fighting England's enemies bravely for three decades. He led a party of 1, 700 buccaneers up the Chagres river in 1680 and through the Central American jungle to attack and capture Panama City. He lived on a huge sugar plantation in Jamaica, and died in his bed, surrounded by members of his family. During the War of the League of Augsburg in 1695, Captain William Kidd headed a group of English privateers that operated in the Red Sea that had set out to attack a French shipping company operating in the Mediterranean Sea, but he was unsuccessful as most of the French shipping cargo had already been dispatched by other privateers before Kidd's arrival.
