Is it a sound problem you are having? If it is, you will need to download the CODECS for Vista Operating System. IF it's just regular programs, they may be blocked by your firewall. Go into you computers security and check your firewall settings, and allow what programs it is you are trying to open. Hope this helps. Good Luck

I had that problem once after the power went out and hit ctrl-alt-delete and shut down my computer after a few minutes I turned my computer back on and everything was back to normal. Hope something someone suggests works.
