What Is An ICU?

    An ICU is an intensive care unit in a hospital.  Patients are sent there when  they have life threatening conditions such as from car accidents, gunshot wounds etc,.  There is a separate ICU for heart patients. They are carefully monitored there, and treated according to their needs.

        The ICU stands for intensive care unit in a hospital. It is generally reserved for the most serious cases that are brought to that hospital.
