Can You Say You Are A Paralegal When You Are Not?

My ex-husband's new wife sent me a nasty letter today and signed her name w/ paralegal next to it. She is a waitress and has been for many years. Can she do that? Is she breaking any laws or is she just being an idiot trying to intimidate me?

You can say yourself anything but that will not designate you or award you with the title. Your friend might want to bully you but you are right, she is an idiot as she doesn't have any clue what is she talking about.

However, you should seek to know why is she suddenly saying such a thing.

I am a paralegal and i have my b.s. In that area of law.  i strongly take offense to what she has done!  she must be full of b.s. But in what is her degree?  that is the question i would ask her...she is clearly trying to intimidate you.  you have 2 choices:  1)  do nothing & ignore her immaturity 2)  ask her the question i have posed for you...
Good luck my friend....signed "a real paralegal"

thank you, I think I will just ignore her and not stoop to the level that she has. I will just keep all of this filed away in my head should I ever need it. Thanks again :-)
