    Joe Louis was a very famous boxer and the Joe Louis Arena that is located at the 600 Civic Center Drive in Detroit Michigan. The Joe Louis Arena was built as a legacy to the boxer and is nicknamed as Hockey Town. Sometime it is also referred to as THE JOE or just JLA (Joe Louis Arena). The arena is the home of the National Hockey League Franchise and also the Detroit Red Wings. The arena was completed sometime in the year 1979 and the total costing of the arena came around 57 million dollars. The Joe Louis arena is under the ownership of Detroit city and is operated and looked after by Olympia Entertainment, which is a part of the llitch Holdings, Inc. the seating capacity of the arena is around 20,066.
