How Can I Stop Anything From Going To Word Pad?

When I try to save a document from Word Pad to Microsoft Word, it saves it as Word Pad again. It even saves it with the new file name I gave it for Microsoft Word. Word Pad 'save As' Microsoft Word Does Not Save As Microsoft Word

Ok... I'm not understanding why you want to save from Word Pad to Microsoft Word, instead of using Word in the first place, but if the problem is that when you double click on the file it opens in Word Pad instead of Microsoft Word, the problem may be as simple as file association...

To change the file association of a given file (for example, to make it so that ALL documents- .txt, .doc, etc. Are opened in Word), you just right-click an example of the file type you want to change (Letter.txt for example) and click "Open With...", when the new window opens, choose your preferred program to open it (Microsoft Word in this case), then click the box at the bottom that says "Always use the selected program to open this type of file", then click the 'Ok' button.

The next time you double-click a file of this type, it should automatically open in Word.

I hope this helps you, and that you have a great day.
