How High Can Birds Fly?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Sky is their limit. Birds can fly at heights that would be not possible for mammals like bats, because bird lungs can extract a great amount of oxygen from the air as compared to mammal lungs. Actually the bigger the bird is the higher it could fly but mostly fly up to almost 500 feet above the ground. Birds like Vultures sometimes fly more than 10,000 feet to search the land for food.
