What Is Wrong When Your Dog Starts To Cough?

Sounds funny I know, but he could have a cold, or hay fever, it is spring time. Your safest bet would be to take him to the vet, or call an emergency vet, one that is open 24 hours. Sorry I couldn't help more. Good luck.

　　Your dog can have something called Kennel Cough that is contagious between dogs and is spread through saliva and coughing on one another. You should see your vet because sometimes they can prescribe antibiotics. Also you want to make sure it is not an upper respiratory infection this can cause damage to the lungs if the cough has a raspiness to it.

I have a few dogs. I know the answer, which is Kennel Cough. Call your vet right away. There is a nasal spray the vet sprays up the dog's nose. That should clear the problem; if that is your dog's problem.
